Palacio de deportes San Pablo

Sevilla has organised various national and international sporting events during the last few years. It also has various category teams competing at the highest levels in Spain and, in some cases, at international levels, as is the case with Sevilla Football Club, which has won the uefa Cup twice in a row, in 2006 and 2007. The club’s home stadium, Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, has hosted important football matches, such as the 1982 World Cup Semi-Finals and the 1986 European Cup Final. The other major football club of the city is the Real Betis Balompié. Sevilla also hosted the uefa Cup Final in its new Olympic Stadium in 2003.
